Handy tool, a bit heavy as it’s solid metal so just be conscious of that if you’re travelling - but it’s great for home use.
Saw a review on insta and had to investigate. Looked up Akt and read their story plus a whole load of reviews. I’ve tried natural deodorants before and non have been like Akt. The cream, the design, the smells are all beautiful with no white marks left behind. I tried the mini Onsen and went straight out to get a subscription and a discovery set to try them all and pick a favourite. A small amount is all that’s needed and lasts all day long. I love this deodorant and won’t be changing back to any other.

FAQ
How often should I apply AKT and how long does a tube last?
Apply a pea-size amount to each underarm once a day. Preferably on freshly showered skin.
1 tube lasts 6 weeks on average and is delivered every 6 weeks with our subscription offering. But if you need more or less you can customise how frequently you’d like it delivered in your account. Easy.
Does your deodorant actually work?
Yes! It was made by West End performers, Ed Currie and Andy Coxon, and tested for its effectiveness on over 1000 performers in West End productions.

Does your deodorant contain aluminium?
No, but let’s clear something up!
When we and other brands say “Aluminium Free” it means free from Aluminium Chlorohydrate, which is a salt — not a metal.
Aluminium metal is fantastic for packaging because it’s infinitely recyclable, flexible and strong. It does not “leach” into our formula and magically become aluminium chlorohydrate. So don’t sweat it.
What’s the difference between an antiperspirant and deodorant?
The difference is 1 ingredient: aluminium chlorohydrate (not to be confused with aluminium metal).
This ingredient is found only in antiperspirants and works by blocking your sweat glands so they can’t release sweat. However, some people experience “over-sweating” using antiperspirant as the body works harder to cool you down.
Aluminium Chlorohydrate is also the thing that creates that claggy, yellow stain that you can’t wash out of your shirts, which means you’re overspending on new clothes and contributing to fast fashion!
We don’t use this ingredient so are legally classified as a “deodorant”. But, we’ve created a formula with DEO-BARRIER COMPLEX™, which absorbs natural perspiration to keep you feeling dry all day — without blocking your sweat glands.
Why should I use a natural deodorant?
We don’t recommend all natural deodorants because in our experience, many of them simply don’t work. But here’s a few reasons you should use AKT natural deodorant:

Can I really use AKT anywhere on the body?
Yes! Our deodorant balms can be used on your feet, forehead, chest — anywhere you need effective all day protection.
On some film and theatre sets, AKT is used under make-up to prevent shine under hot lights.
Caution: Do not apply to intimate areas. For external use only. Keep away from eyes.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. We conducted clinical trials and AKT deodorant balms are suitable for sensitive skin.
However, all skin is different and the skin in the underarms is some of the most sensitive on the body — especially if you shave there. If you experience a red rash, stop using the product until the redness has gone. You may have a reaction to some of the allergens in our fragrances (which exist in all fragrances that use essential oils).
Can children and teens use AKT?
Yes. AKT deodorant is suitable for children over 10 and teens who need an effective deodorant. We have many customers whose children use AKT and have told us it has really helped with their confidence.
But it’s always recommended to do a patch test as children and young adults are likely to have more sensitive skin.
My daughter who is ten, suffers with a very very overactive thyroid (Graves' disease), it makes her hormones haywire, this causes severe sweating and it's horrible for her.
Her clothes and uniform have to be changed every day and she can get smelly, which has caused her to be bullied about it. We were worried as she moves to high school in September and didn't want any bullying to continue.
We have tried every deodorant going, even male deodorant and nothing works.
Enter Akt, and I swear to all things holy, this last week in school has been so much better for her.
No smelly sweat smell on her shirts. Just a lovely deodorant smell.

Is your packaging really Plastic Free and 100% Recyclable?
Yes! Our tubes are made of aluminium and are infinitely recyclable without losing any quality. So your tube will have life again as a bicycle, electric car or maybe a drink can.
We don’t use any plastics in our packaging whatsoever. It’s no easy feat! We developed bespoke aluminium caps, which took us years to make — even though they’re so simple. The industry is geared towards plastic, so it’s up to smaller brands, like us, to set the trends.
How can I get the most out of AKT?

Is there a transition period when switching to natural deodorant?
Although this is uncommon with AKT, there could be a “transition/detox period”. Essentially your underarms are cleansing themselves from the years of use of antiperspirants, which have been blocking your sweat glands.
But don’t be alarmed, the transition is usually short, although in some cases it can take up to 30 days for your body to regulate itself.

Can I apply AKT after shaving?
You can, but it’s always recommended to do a test as your underarms are more sensitive post-shaving, as the epidermis is damaged from the razor.
If you’re noticing sensitivity, we recommend shaving the night before and applying AKT in the morning as shaving can leave your underarms sensitive. But we’ve even included calendula oil in our formula to help with the recovery process.
