Breast Cancer Awareness Month
It is estimated that 1 in 2 of us in the UK will be developing cancer at some point in our lives. One of the best ways to combat cancer is early detection so this Breast Cancer Awareness Month we are here to encourage and remind you to carry out regular self examinations.
AKT comes in handy - being so intimate with our underarms in application means lumps can be detected in our armpits and it’s not such a journey to your chest area. Getting to know your body is a key strategy in detecting abnormalities and Coppafeel encourages everyone to ‘Feel it on the First”: a self examination that becomes part of your regular routine.
Remember, all genders have breast tissues so everyone should be checking.
You’re looking out for changes in size, shape, skin like puckering or redness, lumps, new pain that isn’t regularly experienced, changes in nipples and swelling. It’s important to be feeling wherever there is breast tissue so feel right up to your collarbone and into your armpits (while you massage some deodorant balm around!)
If you notice any changes monitor it for a week and book an appointment with your doctor to get it checked out.
