Let's hear it for the girls. Every year on March 8th, International Women's Day invites us to join a standing ovation for the achievements of women worldwide. Shining a spotlight on the remarkable women of history – whilst urging each generation that follows to keep fighting the good fight, IWD is an annual call to action for a true gender-equal, inclusive society.
International Women’s Day is for everyone. IWD is, and never was just for cisgender women – it’s a movement that transcends the boundaries of class, race, and gender. As a gender-free brand – we celebrate all women. Today, tomorrow, and every other day of the year.

Now, allow us to lift the curtain for a moment of appreciation. Because behind every great brand – is a great team of women. We’ve asked Holly, Ottilia, Annabel, Lizzie and Lou to share a bit about what they do at AKT – with some complementary 5* reviews from us too.
HOLLY: HEAD OF MARKETING
As Head of Marketing, I oversee all marketing channels – making sure they’re performing, engaging, and reaching as many new customers as possible. I also support our amazing marketing team – empowering them to reach their full potential!
Ed and Andy: Holly is the OG. Our longest-serving female cast member. She cracks the whip on us and we are grateful for it. She's also incredibly kind and funny – but she isn't afraid of putting us in our place… which we need.
OTTILIA: CRM AND LOYALTY MANAGER
I'm here to make your experience with us as extraordinary as possible! I'm all about understanding what you love and what makes you tick, so we can tailor our services just how you like it.
Ed and Andy: Our super smart, Scottish-Swede, who is full of so much knowledge and isn't afraid to push back – we love it! We honestly think if she had a choice between chocolate and CRM – she would probably choose CRM. A wonderful human all round.
ANNABEL: CRM AND EMAIL MARKETING EXECUTIVE
My role at AKT is to enhance your experience across email communications – sending beautiful and tailored content to you that you'll connect with.

LIZZIE: OPS & SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER
So I manage all manufacturing and supply chain operations. I’m here to make sure our products are prepped and ready for our lovely customers – and that they’ll get to you in good time!
Ed and Andy: A true northerner full of comfort, love and oozing with politeness. A homebird who is always up for a get together and knows how to have a good laugh. In the office you just know she'd make a good brew!
LOU: DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGER
My role is to create beautiful and fun content for our audience! I love to help our customers understand and connect with AKT’s values and products.
Ed and Andy: If I could write this with a French accent I would… Lou is creative, chic and honest. An eye for beauty and beauty for the eye. She apologises too much, but she's working on it! We wouldn't have her any other way.
