- AKT is 100% Recyclable - You can add every single element of our packaging to your home recycling once empty - the tubes work just like a coke can!- Aluminium is infinitely recyclable without losing quality. Please recycle.- AKT is Plastic Free Packaging- We don't use plastic in any of our products. From the factory shipping boxes to the warehouse, to the tape you have on your delivery box. Nothing. Nada.- Even our bespoke aluminium cap is plastic free!

IS AKT A B CORP?

AKT is currently working towards achieving the B Corp certification from B Lab. Our journey there is guided by Futureproof who provide the roadmap to not only work towards B Corp status but also find new ways to make decisions and take actions that positively impact the planet and people.But what is B Corp?... "B Corp Certification is a designation that a business is meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency on factors from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply chain practices and input materials."We are currently 75% of the way there in the B Corp process and hope to submit our application (with all the work behind the scenes ready for review) by the end of 2025. Some of this work is creating official processes for things we already did naturally; proving ways in which we have a positive social impact and some actions are newly implemented. We also know that, as much as B Corp Status is important to us and our customers in keeping us accountable, we also believe in doing the right thing for people and the planet with or without a badge.

WHAT ELSE IS AKT DOING?

Sustainability is woven into every decision that we make, and we are always working to improve. Whether it is refining how we measure our carbon emissions, interact with our supply chain or design our products, sustainability is at the forefront of our minds.This year, we added the option to ship via Quiver, where available in the country. Quiver is 100% emissionless, using only electricity-powered vehicles. Each order delivered by Quiver saves 0.99kg in CO2 emissions.In the last year, we have also:Made our boxes thinner to use less materialMade our boxes fit our products more efficiently so there is no wasted spaceRemoved water from our shower concentrate formula to use less water Reduced the packaging for The Applicator

THE AKT FOREST

We are working with Ecologi who help build simple and impactful climate solutions for businesses, through planting trees in trackable forests that are held to account.Ed and Andy pay to plant tress and name them every time they see a show or attend an event. You can track the progress of the forest here.EXAMPLE: They were invited to see the sold out, highly acclaimed West End play 'A Little Life' at the Harold Pinter Theatre. In honour of this they planted 25 trees in a forest in Mozambique...

When AKT was first launched in 2020 we were seen as innovators in the sustainability sphere, and now the world is finally catching up. We have a long way to go as we aim to measure our carbon emissions, increase our charity work and give back to our community. But we won't stop there.
