Antiperspirant contains Aluminium Chlorohydrate, which blocks your sweat ducts to stop you sweating. This ingredient has come under a lot of fire recently with supposed links to Cancer and Alzheimers disease but there is no clinical evidence of this. The aluminium in antiperspirant is what causes that white/yellow stain on your clothing also. Deodorant eliminates odours associated with sweat and absorbs natural perspiration to keep you feeling dry. You can find out more on our blog posthere.

Our formulation contains no aluminium chlorohydrate so will not block your sweat ducts to stop you sweating. However our formula contains Deo-Barrier Complex™️ to absorb your natural perspiration to keep you feeling dry and fresh all day. 

Full Sized Tubes (50ml) - You'll need to unscrew the cap and pierce the seal of the tube yourself. We recommend using a pen. We're working on a solution backstage. 

Mini Tubes (5ml) - Break off the nozzle, then flip it and use it as a plug to reseal the tube.

No. The Deodorant Balm absorbs instantly into your skin whilst applying. No stickiness, no tackiness, no more waiting around for your roll-on to dry.

It will feel like there's nothing there...even if you're hairy. 

Although this is uncommon with AKT, there could be a “transition/detox period”. Essentially your underarms are cleansing themselves from the years of use of antiperspirants, which have been blocking your sweat glands.

But don’t be alarmed, the transition is usually short, although in some cases it can take up to 30 days for your body to regulate itself.

Yes. One tube is 50ml (threshold is 100ml). It also fits snuggly into those tiny transparent bags airlines love to give you, without taking up much room (unlike awkward aerosols and roll-ons).

Our starting recommendation is a pea-size amount to each underarm once a day. Preferably on freshly showered skin.

1 tube lasts 6 weeks on average and is delivered every 6 weeks with our subscription offering. If you need more or less you can customise how frequently you’d like it delivered in your account. Easy.

It sure is. Aluminium Chlorohydrate (salt) is what is found in traditional antiperspirants. Not to be confused with Aluminium Metal - like a Coke can. It’s extremely safe and doesn’t affect the product.

Calendula Oil:  Extracted from the marigold flower, Calendula oil has anti-inflammatory properties to soothe razor burn and nourish skin.

Fragrance: We use a blend of natural and synthetically made notes that replicate the natural molecular structure. We moved away from using a 100% natural fragrances because they have a high allergen content (essential oils are the culprits). Therefore, making it safer for the skin.

Yes. We conducted clinical trials and AKT deodorant balms are suitable for sensitive skin.

However, all skin is different and the skin in the underarms is some of the most sensitive on the body — especially if you shave there. If you experience a red rash, stop using the product until the redness has gone. You may have a reaction to some of the allergens in our fragrances (which exist in all fragrances that use essential oils).

That said, we do have our fragrance free Deodorant Balm, SC.00 No Notes.

We noticed that the consistency of our newest formula can become grainy in colder weather. This is caused by "winterisation" of some oils and butters in our formula, like Shea Butter.

We are working hard backstage to get our next batch even smoother by adding further steps to reduce the chances of winterisation.You’ll be pleased to hear that these grains will dissolve into your skin once warmed between your fingers or massaged into the application area.

In addition to that, we know this does not affect the balms performance directly.

Yes! Our deodorant balms can be used on your feet, forehead, chest — anywhere you need effective all day protection.

On some film and theatre sets, AKT is used under make-up to prevent shine under hot lights.

Caution: Do not apply to intimate areas. For external use only. Keep away from eyes.

Yes. AKT deodorant is suitable for children over 10 and teens who need an effective deodorant. We have many customers whose children use AKT and have told us it has really helped with their confidence.

But it’s always recommended to do a patch test as children and young adults are likely to have more sensitive skin.

The Applicator is made of brass, which oxidises naturally over time. That oxidation can sometimes leave marks on the skin.

It needs a simple clean with vinegar, ketchup or brass polish every now and then - like all brass products do. Brass naturally reacts in this way, but we chose it for its longevity and excellent antimicrobial properties.

In addition to that, we suggest cleaning with water after every use and drying thoroughly to help delay oxidation.
